Generally speaking, each weeks challenge should result in a series of two to three pictures of the given topic. The first week was focused on monochromatic, specifically monochromatic isolation with the focus on one singular colour. So off I went and took a stroll through the neighbouring village to take some pictures. However, somehow I must have missed the part with the focus on one colour for the entire series. Given the winter period and very desaturated time of the year, my eyes were somehow naturally drawn to scenes with coloured highlights, but see for yourself.

Going through a village obviously draws your eyes to manmade structures and colours within them. Interestingly enough for me, I found myself looking mostly for bright colours, such as red and yellow. The second picture with the small green plant in the window stands out from this statement.
In editing I found, that reducing the saturation of each colour other than the focus makes the picture kind of edgy looking and most likely overedited. However, it still taught me, that if you look for specific colours, you can find and isolate them quite easy. Yet colour itself seems to be too vague to really communicate something other than an eye catcher.
I might get back to these pictures, when I’m ready to review them from an artistic standpoint. For now, I assume this weeks challenge as completed.
