When I started this week and thought about the topic, I was immediately drawn to manmade objects. Hard geometry means in my head essentially straight lines, clean edges and „simple“ angles. Off I went to find respective subjects. And I didn’t need to look far and wide to find something interesting on the local soccer field.

Clean edges, angles and shapes. Not only straight lines, but also circles. Pleasing and still manmade. I went further into the marsh and started looking for further subjects, but nothing really stood out. I looked the trees. Since it’s winter time, none had any leaves and the barren twigs and branches made a rather chaotic picture, nothing that would satisfy the challenge.
Then I opted for something I feel at the moment as an interesting subject, but no story: A powerpole.

Currently, I do enjoy these pictures. They have a very clear subject, easy composition and are pleasing in their simplicity.
On my way back I realised, that sometimes you just got to take a step backwards.

As it turns out, twigs and braches are chaotic and unorganized, when you look up close. However, if you change your perspective and get a little distance, you might end up with some nature made geometries.
